Kennedy is committed to teaching our students the following core standards: Positive Attitude, Respect, Integrity through Christian Values, Dedication & Excellence.  These ideals shape our students as well as their behavior and success in the classroom, on the playing field and in all of their future endeavors.


Academic Programs & Post Graduate Success

  • 11 AP Courses and 8 Honors Courses
  • Broad offering of Electives including Anatomy  & Physiology, Botany, Speech Communication, The Problems of Evil, Journalism, Economics and Personal Finance
  • Innovative co-curricular MedPREP Program 
  • 8th Grade students have the opportunity to earn High School credit in Math, Science and Foreign Language
  • Junior High offers Journalism/Newspaper and Health Studies electives
  • The Class of 2016 was offered $72,000 per student on average in collegiate scholarships and aid
  • Over 90% of our students continued their education at a post-secondary institution

Mission and Ministry

  • Kennedy is a Catholic faith based school
  • Families of all faiths are welcome
  • Students are required to take four credits of Theology
  • Mass is celebrated monthly and we observe and celebrate all Holy Days of Obligation
  • Each class participates in a specialized annual Retreat Program
  • Volunteer opportunities at local and national organizations
  • Annual K-Day Leadership Retreat, established to educate students on the social mission of the Church and foster the leadership skills of our Eagles
  • Annual Kairos Retreat pairs adult and student leaders with other students to deepen their faith

Tuition Assistance

Over $280,000 of Tuition Assistance was distributed to K-12 families during the 2015-2016 school year.

Athletics

  • Kennedy is home to the 2016 Division VII State Champion Football Team.  We offer 17 different Boys and Girls Varsity level sports and are a member of the North Coast League.  Kennedy has also recently earned State Team Titles in Cheerleading, Track and Field and State Individual Titles in Track and Field and Golf.

Clubs & Activities

  • Speech and Debate; Kennedy has consistently sends students to state level competition
  • Student Government, Key Club, National Honor Society, Relay for Life, Kids That Care and Interact Club host a number of events including Olympic Day, Alex’s Million Mile Walk, American Red Cross Blood Drive, Breakfast with Santa and the Easter Bunny and monthly opportunities to volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen
  • Two theatre productions each year
  • Thriving Band Program with student musicians at both Campuses who perform multiple concerts each year and perform at both pep rallies and football games

 Junior High Program

  • Participate in Prep Bowl, History Day, Spelling Bee, Patriot’s Pen Essay Competition and the YSU English Festival

    •  Field Trips to the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, Washington D.C, Camp Fitch, Kalahari, Heinz Field and Carnegie Science Center and our unique Amazing Race in Cleveland

    •  Junior High students can participate in Football, Volleyball, Boys and Girls Basketball and Track and Field as well as Ski Club

    •  Individualized class retreat programs and service opportunities

    •  Wall of Fame recognizes students who go above and beyond throughout the school
