Curriculum

John F. Kennedy Junior High School currently offers students the opportunity to earn high school credit during their time in our 7th and 8th grade classes.  Students are eligible to receive one credit in computer/keyboarding during their 7th grade year, one credit in science through a combination of 7th and 8th grade classes as well as one credit in a foreign language during their 8th grade year.  Currently, Spanish I and Latin I are offered.


Traditions

Junior High students participate in an annual lock-in each fall, hosted by our Senior High Student Senate.  They also participate in annual class retreats led by the theology department and are invited to join in Homecoming Spirit Week festivities, our Annual Tree Lighting Service and Student Ambassador Program.

Activities

John F. Kennedy offers the following activities for interested Junior High Students:  Junior High Student Senate, YSU English Festival, Math Counts, Math 24, JFK Student Ambassadors, Boys Football, Basketball, Track and Field, Girls Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, Cheerleading and Track and Field.
