2019 John D. Gillen Golden Eagle Alumni Award Recipient
Regina Rebhan Mitchell, Class of 1989


Dear Kennedy Family,

I am pleased to announce the recipient of the 2019 John D. Gillen Golden Eagle Alumni Award, Mrs. Regina (Rebhan) Mitchell, Class of 1989.

 

Regina is the Chief Operating Officer of Warren Fabricating and Machining and Managing Partner for Ohio Steel Sheet and Plate Inc. She co-owns both businesses with her brother, Eric Rebhan '88, and has worked in various positions with both companies for over 27 years. Last year, Regina joined in a partnership to open Hope Village Recovery Center, an innovative model of treatment from addiction that is individualized and designed to produce long-term and sustainable recovery in Rootstown, Ohio.

 

Aside from her career, Ms. Mitchell is a spokesperson for The Manufacturing Alliance of Ohio and has done national press promoting manufacturing in America. She served on the Board of Directors for John F. Kennedy Catholic Schools from 2014 until last year. She is a current Board Member for the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce, also serving on the Executive Committee as Vice-Chair. She serves the Youngstown/Warren Regional Foundation as Trustee and is Vice-Chair of the Government Affairs Council at the Regional Chamber. She is an Executive Committee member of the Trumbull County GOP Board and is a founder and Executive Trustee of the Regina M. Rebhan Family Foundation, a private, family, charitable foundation which has a significant and continuing impact in our community by providing funds and resources to Christian organizations exempt from federal funding due to their tax exempt status.

 

In 2016-2017, The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honored Regina as the VIP Woman of the Year, recognized for leadership in manufacturing. Last year, she was honored with an Athena Leadership award nomination recognizing her professional excellence, community service and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills.

 

Regina has a BA in Business Management from Loyola University Chicago and has completed a Continuing Education Certificate for Energy and Resource Sustainability from American Military University.
