Anthony Ledenko                          Geri Ann (Pascarzi) Ledenko

Class of 2015                                 Class of 1980

Why did your family chose Kennedy for your education? Tradition.

What is your favorite Kennedy memory? Being able to represent Kennedy as a student athlete and now coach.

Did you have a teacher or class that was a major influence on you? John Gillen. You always knew he was around, for all the sports programs. I remember he would watch soccer practice once a week. That stood out to me because it showed how much he really cared about this school and all it’s sports teams.

Education/Professional Experience: I will graduate in December from Youngstown State University with a degree in Business Administration, a minor in Marketing, and a completed Entrepreneurship Certificate.

What career did you choose and tell us a little bit about how you got there: I currently work in the cigar industry. I started working at Cordy's Cigars my freshman year of college and my passion for the industry started grow.

What is a specific piece of advice you would give to a Kennedy senior? Don’t be afraid to fail. When life knocks you down, you have to keep getting up and moving.
Why did your family chose Kennedy for your education?
My parents were first generation Italian Americans, it was important to them that their children attend a Catholic faith based school. As a parent I choose Kennedy for my sons to strengthen their faith and be college ready. Michael is a 2013 graduate and Anthony a 2015 graduate and current Assistant Girls Soccer Coach.

What is your favorite Kennedy memory? Pep Rallies, decorating lockers and hallways for games.

Did you have a teacher or class that was a major influence on you? Mr. Gillen and Mr. Hoover and their quiet way of always being there even after as faculty.

Education/Professional Experience: I graduated from Youngstown State University in 1985 with a degree in Social Work and am still a Licensed Social Worker. I returned to YSU and received my degree in Early Elementary Education and Reading Endorsement. I did my student teaching at the Lower Campus, began my teaching career at St. Pius, and now back to the Lower Campus.

What professional accomplishment are you most proud of? I am most proud of the children's lives I have touched.

What is a specific piece of advice you would give to a Kennedy senior? Know that JFK has given you wings to fly, but as family will always be here for you to call home.
