Bob Steines '73 and Gina (Sylvester) Steines '73

Bob and Gina met at a party at Dr. Grima's house after an undefeated football season their Junior year, 1971. That season was their favorite high school memory and from there, they went on to have five children who all attended Kennedy, their grandson Anthony currently attends JFK!

Patrick Wilson '81 and Elisabeth (Stanislaw) Wilson '82

Just Another Kennedy Love Story

Technically, they met in grade school when Elisabeth was promoted into Patrick’s fourth grade math class. There were no sparks! They next crossed paths in 1980 when Elisabeth bought popcorn from Patrick’s Student Council popcorn stand. Still no sparks! In 1982 Patrick attended Elisabeth’s graduation party to welcome her to Villanova University. Again no sparks! At Villanova they became good enough friends that they fixed each other up with their roommates. But it was those 6 hour car rides between Warren and Philadelphia where the sparks finally began! A trip to Lexington, Kentucky to attend the 1985 National Championship basketball game sealed the deal! Four children and two grandchildren later, they can still be happily found at JFK events!! #BluePride #LoveStory

Patrick Danko '88 and Kristin (Mozzillo) Danko '88

I am sharing the story of Patrick Danko and Kristin Mozzillo Danko, both Class of 1988. Pat and I met as freshman and continued to be friends through out our years at JFK. We started dating as seniors and continued dating through college. We have been married 26 years There are so many fun memories at Kennedy but the best were associated with football. The pep rallies, Spirit Week against Howland and ringing the Victory Bell were all highlights. I have attached football and 1988 Prom pictures as well as pictures of our family today. We are parents to Patrick (22), Jared (20), and Jacqulyn (19).

Greg Valent '90 and Tricia (Tempesta) Valent '90

First time we met: officially 6th grade, but socially not until Tricia’s 16th birthday party-at which I broke a table (by accident). Together since HS: yes, since 1989.Favorite HS memory: lockers next to each other/sitting next to each other in home room (alphabetical order).

From Prom 1996 to 2020, here we are. Joe and I had art class together in Ms. Thorne’s room. He asked me to prom at my locker by Mrs. Rupinsky’s room, and the rest is history. Joe’s parents and two of his sisters also married JFK high school sweethearts.

Chad Phillips '97 and Jillian (Rossi) Phillips '97
We met on the first day of 5th grade in the gymnasium at St. Mary's Middle School and were always friends, throughout high school. Favorite memories include vying for the top spot on Mrs. Rupinsky's Wall of Fame in math class and experiencing an amazing basketball season (20-0!) senior year. We got married in September 2005 and have 4 children, Henry, Annie, Clare, and Louis, all going to school at Kennedy now!

Sam Young '07 and Natalie (DeVengencie) Young '07

Natalie and I first met our Freshman year at Kennedy in 2003. It wasn't until my Junior year at Homecoming, that I finally asked her out in the student parking lot. Since that day, we have been on a tremendous journey. We both graduated from Kennedy in 2007 and then continued dating while in college. It was difficult since we both went to different schools, but we stayed committed to each other the entire time. I surprised my wife with a proposal in 2016 while we were at her uncle's condo on Emerald Isle, North Carolina. We were then married at St. Mary's Church in Warren on October 14th, 2017. I am now a teacher here at JFK and I get to relive all the great memories that I made with my wife in this building. On December 14th, 2019, Natalie and I were blessed with our first child, Scarlett Claire Young. We have been together for almost 15 years and have been married for 2 years. We have been blessed with so many special moments in our lives and it all started here at John F. Kennedy High School.
